Yves Gauthier, FCPA, FCA, ICD.D

GauthierYves Gauthier joined Desjardins Securities, a subsidiary of the Mouvement Desjardins, in 2003 as the Vice President and Chief Risk Officer. In 2006, he became Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Desjardins, he was Senior Vice President at the Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec from 2001 to 2003, and from 1973 to 2001 he was with KPMG including 20 years as partner.

Mr. Gauthier is currently a member of the Audit Committee of the Société de Transport de Montréal, of the Audit Committee of the Musée d’Art Contemporain de Montréal, of the Board and Audit Committee of the Pearson Peacekeeping Center, of the Board and Audit Committee of Carbon2Green and of the Board of Financial Executive International. Previously, he was a member of the Board of the Quebec Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors, of the Board and Research Committee of the CCAF/FCVI, of the Board of the Canadian Reporting Initiative of the CICA involved in developing guidance on the Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), of the Committee on Control of the CICA, of the Board of the Biosphère (Environment Canada’s museum in Montreal).

Mr. Gauthier holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Montreal, a Diploma (Certificat de deuxième cycle) in Environmental Management from the Faculty of Science of the University of Sherbrooke, a Certificate ICD.D from the Directors Education Program of the Institute of Corporate Directors and the University of McGill, an Accreditation by the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada) as Chief Financial Officer and as Partner, Director and Senior Officer,  a Bachelor es arts from the College Jean de Brebeuf. He is a fellow of Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
